But we were planned to learn new knowledge inside, so instead of just visiting the temple cave, we also prefer the Dark Cave educational trip. There was a massive Murugan statue which is known as the largest Murugan statue in the world standing just beside the entrance of Batu Caves. Then we climb up to 272 steps of staircase to reach to the cave. Luckily, there were no monkey attack that day. I gonna tell you, 272 steps is not actually a simple task, but we all had made it finally. Congratulations.

Temple cave is actually an Indian kuil set up inside the cave. All the statue is beautiful. The power of Nature also created a fairytales scenery inside the cave. Well, this is really a big waste if you never been here before to enjoy this throughout your eyesight. Next, the Dark Cave, as what it named, is really dark inside. Inside this mysterious cave, there had hidden so many things yet to be discovered. We found a bunch of different shapes of stalagtile and stalagmite. It was cool. You have to experience it and try out, you'll see this will really amazed you.

We had our lunch at Selangor Cultural Cove just beside Batu Caves. We enjoyed our food a lot and impressed of the cultural show performed there. I like it so much. Our next destination is a waterfall inside Gombak area. We are so unlucky that some of the juniors who didn't bring along their raincoats were unable to trek into the waterfall but just to wait their seniors came back. But I am pretty sure that they also enjoyed at the bothside. Actually that day was a bit freezing. And I got leech bite just in the middle of my hips. OMG...

We had our dinner at a cultural restaurant also. We had eaten a lot and this was really satisfied. Thats the end of the day when we reach back to YMCA after that.

I am sure that these Singaporeans have started to plan what to buy on scout shop and awaits for campfire the next day. Am I right?Free Zonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05940100105444297208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4826028929241113390.post-87816378511254120482009-12-14T20:18:00.000+08:002009-12-18T08:37:36.669+08:00Singapore scouts visit to Malaysia DAY 1 on 14 Dec 2009Just a briefing before i start:
2 months ago, scouts from singapore have planned to have a visit to Malaysia and meet also Malaysian scouts. Melvin and JH has been discussing throughout the whole plan. So, Bangsar Rover B is automatically become the host of this megaevent. A lot of preparation has been done to suceed this wonderful trip. And once again, thanks to all of the rovers who are willing to give them a help and entertain them during their pleasure journey.

There was me, Danny, Lawrance and Jasty who were on duty to guide them today. At 8.30am, they arrived at KLIA. Without wasting any time, they all rapidly heading to Kota Damansara Comunity forest to start their 1st activity: mini jungle trekking. I think this place is quite a nice view and comfortable to trek along. I am pretty sure they would like it. Unfortunately, we have to spend our lunch time at fastfood restaurant: McDonalds. We didn't join them for lunch but heading to Pizza Hut restaurant behind for a full lunch. That was a really good food.

Then, we're heading to Zonice, a place where scouts activities carry on mostly. They enjoyed the item display and video presentation a lot, I think. As we were starting our ice breaking games, it starts raining. We had no choice but just wait it to stop. Then we play 2 games, quite fun though. We had our buffet dinner afterwards. Just on time, we get back to YMCA by having a rush dinner.

More and more exciting activity is coming...Are you ready?Free Zonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05940100105444297208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4826028929241113390.post-17099518061905691392009-11-07T21:32:00.002+08:002009-11-08T09:46:11.347+08:00Giving Training to SMK Seri SaujanaThis morning, Rover B had offer a help as members PLD to scouts at SMK Seri Saujana. We joined this activity with various crew of rovers.

This consists a huge project that it requires more than 30 scouts to finish this project. It includes a bridge, a tower and a swing combination. Materials is bamboo and rope.

This event starts on 9.30pm while it starts giving a simple briefing about the pioneering project. Then we separate ourselves into 3 groups and discuss the project each other without delay. At first we are planning to finish it during nighttime, but several reasons we have to wait until rise to start our work. So, we can just do simple things like measuring length of bamboos.

The swing and the tower is the fastest to finish. It looks fascinating and amazing. Due to the hardness of the soil, the process of excavation is getting tougher and tougher as the weather is hotter. But at last the basis of bridge is built and we feel so amazed.

According to them, there is an upcoming event on 1st of August which requires this wonderful combination pioneering project. I wonder how it looks like after few weeks of changing weather recently. Anyway, we are waiting this exciting events coming in future.Free Zonehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05940100105444297208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4826028929241113390.post-15397178862012959212009-07-05T23:39:00.003+08:002009-07-16T22:50:45.541+08:00Trip to Taman Pertanian Shah Alam
Today, we and Rover D had a wonderful trip to Taman Pertanian, Shah Alam.

Actually, we're having our Lencana Pengembaraan there, by finishing all the route along this agricultural park.
